Factsheets/Information for Children (Age 6-11)

When you are young and have an illness you might end up staying at a hospital. Here you will be seen by a Doctor who might give you some medicine and a nurse who will care for you.

You may be asked to take part in a research Clinical trial for children at the hospital whilst you are there. They will need your consent and you don't have to participate if you don't wish too.

The organisation which supports paediatric research is called the Medicine for Children Research Network and co-ordinates with Local Research Networks about setting up and support clinical trials.
